About the Role
Lights, camera, you. As a volunteer Photographer or Videographer for SVAVC, you’ll capture the moments that define our creative community — from packed movie nights to quiet script reads, candid laughs to behind-the-scenes magic.
Whether you shoot DSLR, mirrorless, or even on a phone, your eye helps tell our story.
Requirements
What you’ll do:
Attend events and capture high-quality photos and/or short video clips
Document mixers, workshops, panels, and behind-the-scenes setups
Help us build a growing archive of visuals for social media and marketing
Optional: Edit and deliver selects or short reels for Instagram/TikTok
Coordinate with the marketing team on needed content
What you’ll get:
Photo/video credit on all published work
A platform to showcase your skills and grow your reel/portfolio
Priority access to events you’re covering
Swag and perks for consistent contributors
A tight creative network (and a few good lighting setups, too)
Time Commitment:
Event-based. Most opportunities are 2–3 hours per event, with flexible editing/delivery timelines. You choose how often you shoot.
